Pregnancy and Pregnancy Options
Signs of Pregnancy
Symptoms of pregnancy may vary as all women are different nor are pregnancies all alike. The most significant symptom is a missed menstrual cycle. Most women have a 28-day menstrual cycle. An egg becomes ripe and is released from the ovary on or around 14 days after the first day of the last menstrual cycle. Chances of impregnation are significant if intercourse takes place during ovulation.
SYMPTOMS MAY INCLUDE:
- Sore and swollen breasts
- Nausea and vomiting
- Fatigue
- Appetite changes
- Raised basal temperature
- Slight bleeding or spotting (might occur when the fertilized egg implants onto the uterine wall)
- Mood swings
- Headaches

NEED SOMEONE TO TALK TO?
If you are pregnant, the first question you will want to know is how far along you are? You will need to know the first day of your last period even though conception could have been several days after your period ended. Ovulation usually occurs in the middle of a 28-day cycle – or about 14 days after the first day of your last period. If you were sexually active around the time of ovulation, it’s possible to become pregnant.
